Netflix continues to persuade Japanese actors and models to strip off.
After getting Kiko Mizuhara to do insanely explicit nude sex scenes in Ride or Die and a whole gang of lovely ladies — including newcomers and established idols — to drop their underwear for the two seasons of The Naked Director, they have now got gravure idol Shizuka Nakamura to shed her clothes for a bed scene in the upcoming adultery-themed drama Fishbowl Wives.
Only the trailer has been released so far, so there’s no actual nudity on display to keep it YouTube-safe. But the trailer makes it clear that Shizuka Nakamura has a proper sex scene and it’s surely going to be more explicit than the trailer footage.
The scene shows Shizuka Nakamura sitting on a guy and taking off her bra. She then lies down naked on his chest to kiss him. The scene seems to take place in a love hotel.
Nakamura is aged 33 and was a big gradol in the later 2000s and early 2010s. Her career has declined of late, at least in gravure (though she attempted a comeback with a photo book in 2019), but this new role should see her back in the limelight. (To be fair, she has continued to act over the past few years, so never really went away.)
In addition to Shizuka Nakamura, the cast of Fishbowl Wives is led by Ryoko Shinohara and Kyoko Hasegawa — both of whom recently went through high-profile breakups and divorces from famous husbands — and also features Masanobu Ando, Takanori Iwata, Wakana Matsumoto, and Anna Ishii.
It begins streaming on Netflix worldwide from February 14. The streaming giant is probably hoping the series will replicate the popularity of similarly female adultery TV drama (and film spinoff) Hirugao: Love Affairs in the Afternoon a few years ago (so successful, in fact, that it allegedly contributed to a rise in women having affairs in Japan).
