It’s been a long, long wait, but one of our all-time favorites idols is back. Sure, she’s older and wiser. Yet boy, does she still look great.
Former Morning Musume idol Maki Goto has been relatively quiet these past years, though launched a YouTube account in April 2020. The content of the videos is mostly pretty banal (trying food, makeup tips, etc.), but it was the first main indication that she was making a comeback. What has she been doing in the time since she left Morning Musume? In 2015, she married and started a family. She now has two children, though she admitted to having had an affair in 2019 after it was reported in a weekly tabloid magazine (she apparently managed to patch things up with her husband).
She has returned with her first photo book in 10 years. The book, “ramus,” comes out November 29 from Kodansha.
The 36-year-old jukujo is still ravishing and the lingerie shot is particularly hot. The years and motherhood have been kind to her, and that cute smile is instantly recognizable as Gocchan’s.
In November and December, Goto is also relaunching her music career with her first live performances in almost a decade.
